This was a several-months-long trip I took after finishing my postdoc contract at Ghent University. Three of the adventures on this site were part of it: the Atlantic crossing, the second Patagonia expedition, and the Bolivian Amazon. This gallery covers the rest: cycling and kayaking on the island of Chiloé; crossing the Bolivian altiplano with a tour group; and hiking the Salkantay trek in Peru to Machu Picchu. Not included: about 120 hours spent in long-distance buses to travel from Brazil, through Argentina, and into Chile, Bolivia, and Peru!
